I looked within myself for validation.

(Our God is a jealous God.)

I looked to my wife for validation.

(Our God is a jealous God.)

I looked to friends for validation.

(Our God is a jealous God.)

I looked to my pastors for validation.

(Our God is a jealous God.)

(God’s jealousy comes from His great love, and His understanding of the purposes and roles of each person.)

Then I looked to the Lord for the answer to the question – “Who am I?”

He answered me, and validated me.

I need validation from no other.

It is unhealthy to seek it elsewhere.

It comes from God alone.

And my relationship to all others is better for it as well.– 6/23/03
