Father, I am amazed at the variety. The infinite variety! If I narrow the animal kingdom down to view fish only, Then to freshwater fish, Then further to freshwater fish of the Amazon, Then down to small school-fish in the freshwater of the Amazon, even there- Infinite Variety! No matter the genus, species, or sub-species, there- Infinite Variety! The fish, the frogs, the birds, the rodents- Infinite Variety! All of them living treasures! I saw the Arawana – a strange looking fish. It can leap six feet out of the water for food! It passed close and I looked at its scales – green, blue, orange, on each scale! Again, infinite variety in a pattern repeated and remade! The electric eel – 500 volts! The four eyed fish – sees above and below! The Matamata turtle – built-in snorkel! Father, You must have had fun during creation. Will “evolution” survive? (No.) Thank You for Your creation, Father! And thank you for the ability to appreciate it! -------------------------------------------------- -10/31/04 (Ben and I at the SC Aquarium Amazon Exhibit)
