Psalm 46:10 - “Be still and know that I am God.”

“Be still and know that I am God.”

So I lay here, Father, on this grassy hillside in my mind, and close my eyes.

I am still

My mind is still

And I know You are God.

And love rises in my heart.

My love for you swells and balloons until it bursts out of my face and I can hardly be still.

Father, I want to see You so badly that I just about can’t stand it.

(I am here.)

Father, I want to be with You so badly that I sometimes can think of nothing else.

(I am here.)

That’s not strange, is it?

It’s perfectly natural for a man to want to look upon, and to want to be with, someone he loves.

I am happy, delighted, to love you as a man loving his God.

But this love goes deeper than even that

Deeper than a soul loving a soul-mate

I am the detached, reunited to the Whole.

And I am so glad to be reunited.

(Gladder still when the re-unification is complete.)

And I am so glad to be filled with your spirit.

I am so glad to be delirious with love for you.

You have made my life wonderful.

Absolutely wonderful.

And I am so happy to know that there is so much more to come.

I love you, my Father!
