Page 4 of 4 The idea for this story came to me during Praise and Worship at my church Cathedral of Praise on a Sunday morning service in 2003. We were singing “You Are My King (Amazing Love)” by Billy James Foote and as I worshipped I saw in my mind a rope bridge stretched across a chasm. A King (or Prince) was there who was going to lay down his life for one of his subjects. Archers were usually looked down upon by other fighting men in the old days and the idea of a nobleman laying down his life for one would be unheard of. The story not only shows the love of Christ for the least of us, but the ending also gives an idea of what the resurrection was all about.
